Miss Bridgitte has been involved in the dance industry since childhood. She has served as a Board Trustee, Hall of Fame Chairperson, Scholarship Committee Member, and SCAU certified Judge for Showcase America Unlimited since 1992. In 1994 she had the privilege of working with notable dance choreographers on the half time shows for Junior Orange Bowl, Citrus Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl. Prior to getting married in 1996, she danced on the Columbus Crew MLS, Bomb Squad, Cowboys, and Steelers Dance/Cheer Squads. Miss Bridgitte has also been involved in community service Making Strides for Breast Cancer Awareness, Walk to DeFeet ALS, and the Americana Festival Committee. Currently in her 18 th year teaching dance, she founded the Miss Americana Talent Competition for the Americana Festival in 2007, is a Buckeye Trails Girl Scout Co-Leader, and Director and Head Coach of the Award Winning Itty Bitty, Mini and Junior Dance Team for Turning Pointe. Through her dance experience she has met many wonderful people and been honored to work with so many terrific children. Miss Bridgitte, her husband Craig, and their six children reside in Centerville, Ohio.

  Miss Ann has been dancing for over 30 years. She was involved for several years in local Children's Theatre as a storyteller, rehearsal assistant, and wardrobe consultant/creator. She has attended many dance workshops and conferences throughout the local area and New York City. She has studied tap, jazz, modern, classical ballet, pointe, and hawaiian. Miss Ann is currently a Preschool Educator, Volunteer, Board Member of Sunwatch Indian Villiage, and a teacher with Miss Bridgitte since 2006. Miss Ann would like to thank all the students for such a great year and looks forward to teaching them in 2010 - 2011.

Amy Vandergriff

As a dancer Ms. Amy Vandergriff- Veldhaus has been recognized for her talents on both a regional and national level. She has been awarded top honors in many of the countries leading dance circuits and has performed in professional productions and televised talent events. As a teacher and choreographer, Amy has been awarded for her work in many areas, including lyrical/jazz technique, lyrical/jazz choreography and overall entertainment value. Through her efforts Amy has given hundreds of young performers the opportunity to succeed in dance as a performing art. Many of her students have been awarded scholarships, are dancing in college or have moved on to careers in the dance industry.  Amy is the former owner of Starmaker Dance Studio and has taught for Miss Bridgitte since 2006. In June of 2008 Amy was the proud teacher and choreographer of the Grand Champion Routine at the prestigious Myrtle Beach Kids Artistic Revue Nationals.  She was also named KAR 2008 choreographer of the year.  In 2009, nine of Amy’s routines were featured overall winners on the country’s leading Dance Circuits websites.  Two of Amy’s pieces were finalists for the Federation of Dance’s routine of the year.  Amy currently lives in Cincinnati with her husband Todd, and sons Joe and Tuck.

   
 
 

Marlayna Locklear

  Miss Marlayna is currently a Company Dancer with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.
 

Brittany Moss

Instructor

  Miss Brittany has taught at Miss Bridgitte's Turning Pointe since 2009. Brittany is a high school graduate of Northmont High School, former Captain of the Impressions Dance Line, the 2006 Miss Americana Festival Pageant Queen. She is a 2009 graduate of the Aveda Concepts.

Miss Chelsea has taught for Miss Bridgitte since 2007. She was Captain of the Laserettes Dance Team winning many Local, Regional, State and National titles for Showcase America Unlimited. Miss Chelsea also competed as a soloist for Miss Bridgitte under the teaching of Miss Amy in 2006 and 2007 winning numerous prestigious ratings at Federated, Non Federated Dance Circuits and at Creative Dance Productions. Miss Chelsea has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Miss Chelsea is currently active in Church Youth Group and is a Preschool Sunday School Teacher.
